The Dino 246 GT was a natural evolution of the 206 GT model, made with a 2.0-liter, 180-hp all-aluminum DOHC V-6. Minor improvements included a switch to steel for most of the bodywork, a wheelbase length increase of 60 mm for more stable handling, and a larger V6 engine.
